There aren’t many things harder than trying to guess what Ryan Elliott  might have packed in his record bag on any given night. Born in Detroit, but based in Berlin for over a decade, he’s held residencies at both Berghain and Panorama Bar, as well as mythical Offenbach club Robert Johnson. These three references give some idea as to his sound, which eschews easy labels - loose yet precise, deep yet immediate; not exactly ‘techno’ but not quite ‘house’ either. Of course you’ll hear plenty of both when he plays, as well as touches of UK garage, minimal, and every genre and style of dance music imaginable.
