Born in Georgia, but adopted by Berlin, SALOME - the name is in all caps for a reason - has evolved into one of the city’s boldest DJs. She cut her teeth as part of infamous queer collective Herrensauna - she’s still a resident to this day - where she honed her trademark mix of electro, techno, and acid, a perfect complement to the Berlin party series’ spiky, leather-clad and tightly zipped aesthetic.
These days you might find her dropping in a little more breakbeat and even touches of trance, but she’s stayed true to her original format: hard, fast and surprisingly seductive dance music that cracks like a whip and hits like a train.
This is the second time that she’s appeared at Sónar, but her debut solo set: we’re expecting something special from one of Europe’s best DJs.
