After an accident prevented him from appearing at Sónar last year, Yerai Cortés finally brings his revolutionary ‘Guitarra Coral’ show to Sónar 2025. The young Alicante-born guitarist has had an incredible year: the subject of C. Tangana’s award-winning debut documentary ‘La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés’, he’s sold out venues across Spain, including a rapturously-received performance at Paral·lel 62 promoted by Sónar and Festival de Jazz de Barcelona.

‘Guitarra Coral’ extends flamenco beyond the guitar, with Yerai accompanied by a six-woman choir of ‘palmeras’ who’ll add their voices and handclaps to this collective ritual. A flamenco concert that blurs conceptions of the classical, the traditional and the avant-garde.
